As you probably know as an Indian citizen, the Republic of India does not allow dual citizenship.
As a consequence, applying for German citizenship would mean the obligation to give up the Indian citizenship.
We urgently recommend to discuss such processing with a lawyer, before taking this step.
A point of the discussion should then also be that Indian nationals who give up their Indian citizenship can obtain an OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) status.
The OCI card is a lifelong visa for travelling to India and puts OCI cardholders on an equal footing with Indian nationals living outside India in many aspects
