From an immigration perspective, an assingee going to Germany on a work visa might be entitled to also bring his family members with him. This article describes the information and documents to be provided to initiate the dependency visa procedure.
To initiate the filing of a dependency visa application through Dwyer Legal, please provide us with the following documents / information:
Genelal documents:
- Fully filled Dwyer Legal Work Permit request form
Employee informaiton:
- Assignee passport copy
- Assignee city hall registration receipt (current, if assignee is already in Germany)
- Assignee entry visa and current work permit (if available)
- Assignee (intended) travelling date to Germany (if still in home country)
- Assignee intended visa application date assignee (if still in home country)
- Assignee original German employment contract
- Assignee all German extension letters so far (incl. current)
- Assignee health insurance certificate (if assignee is already in Germany)
- Assignee first 2 and last 2 payslips for Germany (if already in Germany)
- Assignee university degrees (all available bachelor and master degrees)
Spouse / Childen information:
- Spouse passport
- Marriage certificate
- Children passports
- Birth certificates children
- Spouse university degrees (all available bachelor and master degrees)
- Family intended living location in Germany
- Dependents intended visa application date
- Dependents intended travelling date
- Power of attorney assignee and family members
- Assignee contact details
Please note that dependents typically are required to particiate in a German language course. However, expections are possible. If these apply needs to be discussed on a case to case basis.
