How to identify the current ICT salary levels?

Different from the Blue Card salary levels, which are officially publicated each year and mostly generalised, ICT salary levels are very job specific and need to be identified on a case to case basis.

Following 18 b AufenthG, the working conditions for ICT-employees (employees on secondment contracts) need to me meet the following criteria:

1. Observation of the equal treatment principle:

Following the equal treatment principle, the employment conditions offered to employees seconded from a foreign company entity to a German company entity (ICT) need to meet at least the employment conditions that the Germany company entity offers to its local employees.

2. German standards working conditions:

The salary ranges also have to be with in the Germany standard salaries. If this is given /  What the German standard salaries are is often rather difficult to identify, as these conditions do not only depend on the job title but also on many other factors such as qualification, specific work experience, age and location.

Still, some general understanding on what the employment agency’s expectations are can be obtained from the employment agency wage calculator, which however, unfortunately is only in available in English and also does not go very much into detail.

Another way of identifying the current salary levels if - of course - to pre-discuss the expectations with the employment agancy on a case to case basis or to file applications and then to learn from the feedbeck.
