Temporary employment in Germany is strictly regulated. One rule is that the body leasing period must not exceed 18 months.
The German Law for temporary employment (Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz - AÜG) contains many regulations and limitations.
One of the limitations is that the duration of renting out an employee to another company must not exceed 18 months.
After this time period, the employee must either change his workplace or return to the temporary employment company.
A new engagement with the original client requires a break of at least 3 months.
