An IT specialist permit is a new type of permit which has been brought in with the now immigration law in March 2020. This permit is similar to a Blue Card permit, but it does not necessarily require a university degree.
The main requirements for an IT specialist permit are that:
- the employee is being offered a German employment contract;
- the employee has worked for 7 years in the IT sector and
- a minimum salary difined by the State is reached.
