The German Federal Ministry of the Interior has clarified that Ukraine does not currently process applications for renunciation of nationality or multiple citizenship and therefore German naturalization can take place without the involvement of the Ukrainian authorities. Applications for denaturalization by Ukrainians, for example to avoid military service, are not processed by the Ukrainian authorities. |
